9-11 Food and Hotel Asia 2014* Singapore
The 19th annual international exhibition at the Food and Hotel Asia 2014 show in Singapore will bring a myriad of food and hospitality buyers from around the world. In 2014, the show will expand its exhibition area to 95,000sqm to serve an expected 45,000 trade visitors from over 90 countries and regions. The Idaho and Hawaii Departments of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Western United States Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA), will be coordinating
participation at Food and Hotel Asia, April 8-11, 2014, in a WUSATA Pavilion within the U.S. Pavilion. 10 Idaho-Mexico Trade Office 20th Anniversary Celebration
Join ISDA and the Idaho Department of Commerce for a reception celebrating 20 years of the State of Idaho’s presence in Mexico and honoring Mexico Trade Office Manager Armando Orellana’s 20 years of service. The reception will be held Thursday, April 10 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Mexican Consulate offices in between E. Park Blvd. And W. Parkcenter Blvd. The cost to attend is $10. Join ISDA and the University of Idaho Extension for a Farm Fresh News Webinar for Idaho Farmers' Market. The webinar is created specifically for Idaho Farmers' Market Managers, vendors and anyone else interested in becoming involved in a market. Live Q&A will accompany a range of timely presentations on topics you suggested, including Health Department updates, Univeristy of Idaho Extension updates, ISDA updates, EBT updates, Idaho Farmers Market Association Updates and more tips and news that you can you to improve your market. 11 Mexico Week: Business and Trade Day
As part of BSU’s Mexico Week, ISDA is joining forces with the Idaho Department of Commerce, the Mexican Consulate, and BSU’s International Business Program to offer a series of panels and seminars on trade, market opportunities, logistics, and Mexican normas. The panels run from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. with lunch served during a food labeling and ingredient discussion. The cost is $25 for the full day. 20- May 6 China Trade Officer Manager Visit, Statewide

4-8 China Animal Feed and Animal Products Inbound Buying Mission
Product buyers from wholesale distributors and retail chains will visit Idaho to source animal feed and other complimentary products. 13-15 SIAL China 2014*, Shanghai, China
SIAL China was the largest retail show in China, attracting 1,520 exhibitors from 76 countries and regions represented from around the world with over 33,000 trade visitors. SIAL China provides Idaho agricultural companies the opportunity to enhance their visibility in the Asian market, create new networking contacts, and learn about the latest trends. Many U.S. exhibitors at SIAL China have reported significant gains as a result of the show. WUSATA is coordinating a pavilion at the event. 8-14 HRI Outbound Mission to Mexico & Product Demonstration*, Idaho
ISDA, in conjunction with the Western U.S. Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA), will conduct a trade mission to two major Mexican cities (TBD) for companies looking to expand their presence in the hotel and restaurant industry (HRI) in Mexico. The HRI market in Mexico represents great export opportunities
for U.S. suppliers of food and beverages. Mexican consumers are well informed of the quality of U.S. products, but buyers like to see product samples tested in hotels and/or restaurants. This trade mission gives companies the opportunity to meet one-on-one with importers, distributors, and industry professionals. 25-28 Taipei International Food Show, Taipei, Taiwan
In 2012, Taipei Food was the largest food show in Taiwan, attracting a record-breaking 2,098 exhibitors and over 61,000 visitors during its four-day show period. Taipei Food provides Idaho agricultural companies the opportunity to enhance their visibility in the Asian market and create new networking contacts for increased sales in the region. ISDA is coordinating an Idaho Pavilion to showcase Idaho products within the popular U.S. Pavilion at the 2013 show. Additionally, the finals of the first-ever North Asia Chef Competition will take place on June 27. Preliminary competitions were held in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Taipei and the winning chefs from each location will compete head to head, using U.S. and Idaho ingredients, in an exciting grand finale at the American Kitchen in the U.S. Pavilion. 23-26 Taiwan Outbound Mission* Taipei and Taichung, Taiwan
Taiwan is a sophisticated market with expanding opportunities for Idaho agricultural producers. There is an increased demand for U.S. fresh and value added products by Taiwanese consumers. WUSATA will conduct a trade mission to multiple locations in Taiwan targeted for new-to-market companies and companies who wish to expand their sales in the market. 15-17 Food Ingredients Asia, Jakarta, Indonesia
FI Asia has grown 25% annually over the last four years and is poised to maintain its exclusive position as the most important route to the entire Southeast-Asia food and beverage ingredient industry. In 2014, the show will be located in Jakarta (FI Asia rotates between Jakarta and Bangkok) and over 11,000 industry professionals are anticipated to attend the event.
